Nancy Mullally

CEO, CFO and Chairman of the Board

With nearly five decades of financial industry experience, Nancy Mullally brings unmatched depth, integrity and vision to Alamo Capital. Since founding the firm in 1987, she has blended Wall Street sophistication with an unwavering, hands-on commitment to her clients. Nancy has built trusted relationships and an institutional client base of over 400 accounts. She also previously managed a VRDN desk exceeding $1.5 billion.

Her career spans operations, institutional sales, trading and municipal underwriting. Nancy is focused on Alamo Capital’s growing investment banking platform while also overseeing the firm’s institutional sales and day-to-day operations—ensuring each engagement upholds the highest standards of service, transparency and performance.

Known for her accessibility and sincere investment in her clients’ success, Nancy combines a results-driven approach with a focus on earning lasting trust.

Nancy is a graduate of St. Mary’s College Executive Business Management Program. She enjoys golfing, long walks, reading with her long-standing book club and spending quality time with her family.

Bill Mullally

President, Alamo Capital

With over 50 years of experience across the securities industry, Bill Mullally offers deep market insights and a practical, results-driven approach. His career includes roles at Security Pacific National Bank, Stone & Youngberg, West Coast Securities, Paine Webber Jackson & Curtis and several regional firms—spanning trading, underwriting, compliance, marketing and firm operations.

At Alamo Capital, Bill provides strategic guidance informed by decades of navigating complex market environments and helping clients make confident, well-informed decisions. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance – Investments from California State University, Long Beach. A proud U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam, Bill brings discipline and integrity to every aspect of his work.

Outside the office, he enjoys golf, skiing, motorcycling, photography and following world affairs. He is proud to work alongside his two sons at Alamo Capital, while his daughter pursues a creative career as a stylist.

Our Institutional Team

John Baer

Senior Vice President, Institutional Sales

John Baer brings deep market fluency and a trusted, insights-led approach to institutional fixed income sales. His product expertise spans Treasuries, Agencies, Corporates, Municipals and Mortgage-Backed Securities, focusing on callable structures—where he frequently originates customized deals through reverse inquiries.

He serves a variety of institutional clients, including states, counties, water districts, community development agencies, money managers, banks and trust departments. His account base has included multiple Tier One institutions with assets exceeding $10 billion, and he has executed large equity block trades with precision and discretion.

John earned his B.A. with honors in Political Science from the UC, Santa Barbara, and studied law at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. A 6th Degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate, John brings focus, discipline and a steady hand to every client engagement.

John Colleary

Senior Vice President, Institutional Sales

John Colleary brings over 45 years of municipal bond market experience, having launched his career in 1977 after earning his Bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University in New York. He is recognized for his long-standing institutional relationships and deep understanding of tax-exempt securities, helping clients navigate evolving markets with confidence and clarity.

Born and raised in New York, John combines analytical depth with a steady, relationship-first approach to service. He supports a range of institutional clients with tailored fixed income strategies that align with their goals and risk tolerance.

Outside the office, John enjoys golfing, gardening and spending time with his two children and two grandchildren.

Tim Culleton

Senior Vice President, Investments

Tim Culleton brings a strong background in institutional trading and investment strategy to Alamo Capital. A graduate of UC Berkeley with a degree in Economics, Tim began his career at Montgomery Securities and went on to serve as Vice President at Thomas Weisel Partners, where he focused on convertible bond trading.

Known for his market insight and steady execution, Tim supports clients with thoughtful, data-informed investment solutions. He is an active member of the San Francisco Municipal Bond Club.

Based in Moraga, Tim enjoys spending time with his family and staying active outdoors.

Ben Mullally

Executive Vice President, Institutional Sales

Ben Mullally serves as Executive Vice President of Institutional Sales at Alamo Capital and is a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. A graduate of the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Behavior and Leadership, Ben plays a key role in growing and supporting the firm’s institutional client base.

In 2013, Ben was elected President of the San Francisco Municipal Bond Club, highlighting his active involvement in the municipal finance community.

Outside of work, Ben enjoys basketball, golf and spending time with his family and friends.

Joseph Dubose

Registered Representative

Joseph Dubose is a Registered Representative at Alamo Capital, supporting operations, administrative functions and institutional sales and trading.

Joseph earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from UC Riverside, where he was active in the Highlander Financial Club and the Student Investment Fund. His hands-on involvement deepened his interest in markets and portfolio strategy.
Born and raised in the East

Bay, Joseph enjoys basketball, golf, running, reading and serving in his local church community.

Allison Kent-Aster

Chief Compliance and Operations Officer

Allison Kent-Aster brings deep expertise in brokerage operations, compliance and supervision, and plays a critical role in upholding Alamo Capital’s regulatory standards and operational integrity. As Chief Compliance and Operations Officer, she oversees firm-wide compliance efforts while ensuring seamless day-to-day operations supporting both clients and brokers.

Prior to joining Alamo Capital, Allison held key roles at Fidelity Investments, A.G. Edwards and Round Hill Securities. With more than 30 years in the investment industry, she is known for her disciplined approach and commitment to delivering best-in-class service and solutions.

Armida Sancen

Senior Vice President, Client Relations

Armida Sancen brings over 15 years of experience in the financial industry as Senior Vice President of Client Relations. Prior to joining the Alamo Capital, she served as Vice President of Operations at one of the largest independent branch offices in the Bay Area through LPL Financial, where she led operational strategy and implemented best practice policies and procedures.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Saint Mary’s College of California.

A resident of Alamo, Armida enjoys practicing yoga, spending time outdoors and being with her family and friends—including her two dogs, Chase and Bella.

Shauntee Miguel

Operations

Shauntee Miguel supports Alamo Capital’s daily operations with a strong background in business analysis and project management. Known for her attention to detail and collaborative spirit, she is key in strengthening internal processes and contributing to a seamless client experience.

A Bay Area native, Shauntee studied Business Administration and Project Management at DeVry University and brings over 20 years of experience as a business analyst to her current role.

In her free time, Shauntee enjoys cheering on the Warriors and Raiders, and spending time with her dog, Rico.

Isabella Berganciano

Marketing and Recruiting Assistant

Isabella Berganciano supports Alamo Capital’s marketing and recruiting efforts while pursuing a degree in Finance through coursework at Los Positas College and Chabot College. As she continues to build her career in financial services, she brings fresh perspectives, strong organizational skills and a growing understanding of the industry.

A native of the East Bay, Isabella is passionate about people and performance—qualities that serve her well in her dual role supporting team development and client engagement.

Outside of work, Isabella enjoys traveling, exercising, golfing and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Kelly Kurtz

Office Administrator

As Office Administrator at Alamo Capital, Kelly Kurtz brings a strong foundation of 15 years in administrative support roles. A long-time Bay Area resident, her deep community roots contribute to her exceptional people skills, collaborative spirit, and approachable presence, making her a true asset to the team.

Kelly has a passion for creativity and connection. She enjoys dinners with friends, spending time with her favorite human—her daughter—and expressing her artistic side through crafting. Kelly embraces new and challenging experiences with energy and enthusiasm.

Bill Egan

Senior Vice President, Investments

Bill Egan brings seasoned insights and a highly personalized approach to investment management. He specializes in equities, retirement accounts and bonds—guiding clients with thoughtful strategies tailored to their goals. Known for his preparation, market knowledge and integrity, he is committed to helping clients make informed, confident decisions.

Starting out his career in 1980, he became a licensed stockbroker in 1983. A San Francisco native, Bill attended St. Gabriel’s Grammar School and St. Ignatius College Prep, and earned his B.A. in English from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga. While at Saint Mary’s, he played varsity tennis, served as sports editor of the college newspaper and was a senior member of the school’s board of directors.

Bill continues to bring the same discipline, curiosity and client dedication to his work today.

Adam Gold

Senior Vice President, Investments

Adam Gold brings a dynamic blend of financial acumen and strategic insight to his role at Alamo Capital. He draws on a strong foundation in capital markets and early-stage investment to deliver thoughtful solutions to his clients.

Before joining Alamo Capital, Adam was an Associate at Next-Gen Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund in San Francisco, where he focused on raising capital and sourcing new investment opportunities. He holds a B.A. in Economics from UC Berkeley.

At UC Berkeley, Adam pitched for the NCAA Division I California Golden Bears baseball team and was later selected by the San Diego Padres in the MLB amateur draft. Adam enjoys golf, snowboarding, baseball and spending time outdoors.

Russell H. Meers Jr.

Senior Vice President, Investments

Since becoming a financial advisor in May 1993, Russell Meers, Jr., has helped individuals and families navigate financial decision-making. Before joining Alamo Capital, Russell served as Vice President at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and Wells Fargo Securities Inc. He advises clients on a range of investment needs.

Russell began his undergraduate studies at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia, and earned a B.A. degree from the University of Georgia in 1973. While at UGA, he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and served as Treasurer during his junior year.

Russell has lived in San Francisco since 1975. He is the proud parent of two children and brings the same sense of responsibility and commitment to his client relationships as he does to his family life.

Tom Mindel

Senior Vice President, Investments

Tom Mindel brings decades of industry experience, focusing on supporting high-net-worth individuals and corporate pension accounts with their securities investments. He specializes in securities investments across asset classes, helping clients manage risk, pursue long-term growth and meet evolving financial goals.

Registered in the securities industry since 1984, Tom currently holds seven licenses. Over the course of his career, he has also served in branch management roles, overseeing retail and institutional equity, and fixed income sales teams and operations.

Tom graduated from Syracuse University. He lives with his wife and is the proud father of three children.

David Plisco

Senior Vice President, Investments

An award-winning speaker and seasoned investment professional, David Plisco has over 40 years of experience advising institutions, municipalities, corporations, charities, retirement plans and high-net-worth individuals. His approach is defined by the trust he builds and the depth of knowledge he brings to every client relationship.

David earned his MBA from the University of Arizona in 1974 and became a Registered Investment Advisor in California in 1978, managing both retail and corporate accounts through his own investment firm.

With a strong foundation in financial education, David has served as an adjunct or part-time instructor at Chapman University (Finance, Marketing and Accounting) and California State University, Long Beach (Security Analysis and Business Finance). Since 1984, he has taught investment and securities courses at Orange Coast College. He presents on institutional fixed income investing at conferences hosted by The ARC Foundation, the Idaho Society of CPAs and Invest in Yourself 2000.

In 1993, David was named Honorary Treasurer of the State of Indiana during the Indianapolis 500 at the Capitol. He also served four years on the Santa Ana Heights Water Board of Directors, where he led its successful merger into the Irvine Ranch Water District, and presented the proposal to LAFCO.

John Sadeghi

Senior Vice President, Investments

As a Municipal Bond and General Securities Principal, John Sadeghi specializes in fixed-income strategies and wealth management. He develops customized bond ladder portfolios tailored to client needs and brings over 25 years of investment advisory experience in institutional and retail markets.

Widely recognized as an authority on fixed-income products, John has contributed several articles to local publications and has served as a guest lecturer at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

He holds a B.A. from UC Davis, where he graduated with honors.

Rob Wong

Senior Vice President, Investments

Rob Wong joined Alamo Capital’s Client Investment Group in 2008 as a senior vice president. He takes pride in leveraging his thirty years of experience, building and refining his investment practice to create personalized strategies that help clients achieve both short and long-term financial goals.

He specializes in fixed-income and equity-based products, including stocks, mutual funds and ETFs. While his practice is closed to new investors, Rob accepts referrals from existing clients on a case-by-case basis.
A third-generation Bay Area native, Rob lives in Harbor Bay Isle in Alameda with his wife and two children. In his personal time, he enjoys traveling, tennis and golf.

Ryan Kent

Vice President, Trading

Ryan Kent joined Alamo Capital in 2006—beginning his career in operations and steadily advancing to his current role trading corporate bonds. He is pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Business at California State University, East Bay.

Outside of work, Ryan is an avid snowboarder during the winter months and enjoys following his favorite hockey team.

Nick Mullally

Executive Vice President, Trading

Nick Mullally specializes in Mortgage-Backed Securities in his role as Executive Vice President of Trading.

He earned a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and a minor in International Business from California State University, Chico. While at Chico, he was a member of the Division I men’s rugby team and continues to play for the Division II men’s Diablo Gaels rugby club.

Outside of work, Nick enjoys golf and travel.

Vanessa Vallone

Vice President, Trading

Vanessa Vallone is the Vice President of Trading at Alamo Capital.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Boise State University, where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. Born and raised in San Ramon, Vanessa enjoys traveling, attending live music shows and spending time with family and friends.

Kurt Leimbach

Vice President, Trading

Kurt has been in the financial industry since 2009. He earned a BA in Economics from the College of William and Mary and attended the University of Miami School of Law. At Alamo Capital, he specializes in Municipal Bond trading. Kurt currently holds FINRA Series 7, 9, 10, 63, and 65 licenses. Fun Fact: Kurt was a news anchor for his high school TV station.
